Curtis Turner raced this car in the beginning of 1966 for the famed Wood Brothers, after being reinstated to NASCAR in late 1965 from a "Lifetime Ban", handed down from Bill France in 1961, for Turner's part in trying to unionize the drivers. It was the last Wood Brothers car Turner drove, as the Ford Factory pulled out of NASCAR mid 1966 and Turner lost his ride.
